Snowmageddon, Day 3: 37 Weeks

The midwife office is closed due to the weather, so no 37 week check up for me. The roads are super icy but, with sun and temps over 32* beginning at 9:00 AM this morning, we should be able to get out soon.

No real contractions over here, thank goodness! I have felt some shocks on my cervix several times a day for the past couple of weeks, so things are slowly starting to happen. Tonight starts evening primrose oil and daily pumping. I'm continuing to spend 1-2 hours on my hands and knees at the end of each day turning him. He always turns during that time and then always turns back to posterior once I get up. *sigh* Stubborn little guy.

We're almost ready over here. Just waiting on my super sexy Amazon order to be delivered, which was delayed due to the weather. My mom is arriving the morning of February 25th: once she's here, we are ready to rock.

Little K had a meltdown yesterday afternoon, which was really tough on her. And on me. The end was the worst, when she said that, with Aaron being born soon, she has to get used to being alone. Heartbroken. We spent a long time talking about Aaron's arrival, my intention to still do things one-on-one with her, my desire to make sure she still felt special and noticed, and my need for her to tell me if she's feeling ignored or lonely so that I can help. She has a counseling appointment tomorrow morning and I'll most likely bring this up with the doctor. I'm so thankful that my mom will be here to help Little K through this time. We finished up the day with a long bath and cuddling on the couch watching a movie together.

I hope that everyone has a safe Valentines Day. Stay off the roads if you can!

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
