Nine Weeks: Bump Pic Warning

These posts focus specifically on this pregnancy. If you're not in a good place, please feel free to pass it over. Take care of you!!

Here is the view from the front porch of the mountain house:

Oh! And the audition last night went great! I'm officially on the Praise Team and will go into rotation the end of August. The current woman singing harmony was SO nice and super excited to have someone to rotate with. I think I made a friend. :-)

It's time to call it: at nine weeks, I officially no longer fit in my pre-pregnancy pants.

This realization came this morning as I finished my packing for the mountain trip this afternoon. My bestie, W, always takes me on a death march (aka hike) while I'm there and it's a good idea to actually pack an extra pair of pants or shorts, since we always come back gross from these little walks. And, since my maternity pants consist of one pair of jeans, one pair of white palazzo-style pants, and two pairs of capri leggings at the moment, I figured something a little more durable was in order.

The first pair, size 8 denim skinny capris, simply laughed at me (weird since I wore them two weeks ago in FL). The second, size 6 knee length denim curvy fit shorts, wouldn't even button. The third, a pair of size 13 Bongo cutoffs from my teens, buttoned below my waist with an impressive muffin top.

Clearly, this wasn't working.

So, the plan is to hit Target on my way out of town and pray that there's a pair of maternity shorts for under $25 that I can wear while trying not to fall down the mountain.

Nine Weeks: Hello, Smudge!

General Preggo-ness:

My stomach is still acting a little weird in the mornings. Luckily, greek yogurt for breakfast seems to settle everything right down.

This is my first trip to the mountains that I will not be drinking. Boo! I made a batch of blueberry-pineapple iced tea to take with me to ease my pain.

I can't wait for the rest of my maternity clothes to arrive! The grand total is:

Three work tunics
Two casual tunics
Three t-shirts
One jeans
One pants
Two full length leggings
Two capri leggings
One yoga pants
Three camisoles
One tank top

Add to that my five slouchy sweaters, three long cardigans, fold-over white palazzo pants, and two pairs of too-big jeggings. I think we're all set!

  2. Look a tiny teeny baby bump! Doesn't it feel good to be building a wardrobe? I'm the weird place where I'm not sure whether to buy more or just call it. I think I ended up with similar amount to what you're describing so far.
