Retrieval went well!
My IV went in on the first try (thank you, sports drink!!) and my nap was delightful. We retrieved an amazing 55 eggs and I received some additional medications to stave off OHSS. I've been feeling great this afternoon and experiencing a minimum amount of spotting. The soft/liquid diet will continue today and possibly tomorrow.

Followed you link from your comment on my blog. 55 eggs, wow!!!! I've been sore from just 18, so I can't begin to imagine. I'm glad that you're taking care of yourself and that you have the OHSS staved off.
ReplyDeleteThough you and I are at very different places, what you've written in your posts really resonates with me. There was a year where I was ready to have children while Grey wasn't. It was a very lonely place to be. Too often, because it is assumed that you made these decisions, that your pain isn't real. But what you are processing is very real. And grieving loss takes time.
The gift you have given/are giving to other couples is amazing. Thank you for being so selfless and doing it.
